Experience Grand Forks-East Grand Forks

Grand Forks is more than just the home of a pretty good college hockey team

While it's true that Grand Forks is a bustling college town and the largest city in northeast North Dakota, it is much more than that. The city, and its sister city of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, have a knack for making visitors feel young at heart - much like the thousands of University of North Dakota students arriving each fall.

Here, no one has to settle for the same old song and dance. Live local music of all genres permeate the downtown area and theaters throughout the city. Enjoy a relaxing night of music in the Greenway along the Red River or tune into a classic pianist or laugh at a world-class comedian at Chester Fritz Auditorium on the UND campus. Unique dining experiences and art exhibits fill the historic downtown, which it tucked up nicely to the banks of the Red River and the Greenway.

The Greenway is an outdoors enthusiast's dream within their own backyard with several parks, a campground, two golf course and miles of trails make it a four-season playground.

Then there is the hockey team. The University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks are perennial national powers with several NCAA I national championships to their credit.
