October Learning Lab: Fossils and Geology of the Confluence
Join us at the Confluence Learning Lab! This FREE program invites children ages 8+ and families to step into the world of the 19th-century frontier through engaging, hands-on activities and interactive learning.
This month’s featured activity is Fossils & Geology of the Confluence! Take a journey into the ancient past and discover the geological story beneath our feet. Participants will get hands-on with real fossils and geological specimens while learning how fossils form and what they can tell us about the ancient environments and creatures that once existed in our region.
After exploring the fossils, participants will become paleontologists themselves and create their own fossil cast to take home! Perfect for families and curious minds of all ages, this program combines geology, paleontology, science, and hands-on discovery. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
This free, family-friendly event is part of the ND250 commemoration celebrating our nation's 250th birthday.
