Timeless Traditions: Explore pottery techniques

Visit the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston for this month’s Timeless Traditions session at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, to get creative with clay and culture. This free, family-friendly program is open to all ages.

In this hands-on activity, explore traditional pottery techniques and create your own coiled clay vessel. Learn about the materials, designs, and purposes behind various pottery pieces in our exhibits. This program blends art, history, and creativity.

This event is part of the ND250 commemoration celebrating our country’s 250th birthday.

Fort Buford State Historic Site and the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center are managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is open Tuesday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and closed Sunday-Monday. Fort Buford is closed for the season.
