Flag Lowering Ceremony

Join us for the annual Flag Lowering Ceremony on Monday, September 7, at noon at Fort Buford State Historic Site near Williston. The public is invited to witness the 6th Infantry Regimental Association as they ceremoniously lower a historical 37-star U.S. flag, honoring the soldiers who served on the northern Plains. The ceremony will include military drills, period uniforms, and historic interpretations, marking the close of the tourism season and contributing to the ND250 commemoration of our country’s 250th birthday.
