Dugouts & Pirogues: The Way Through the Northern Corridor

The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center near Washburn will host “Dugouts & Pirogues: The Way Through the Northern Corridor,” a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired tabletop roleplaying event, on Saturday, Sept. 26, 1-4 p.m. in the library. The program is family-friendly and open to ages 12 and older. Participants ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

During this ongoing monthly campaign, step into a fantasy expedition inspired by historical themes of the Corps of Discovery using Dungeons & Dragons 2024 fifth edition rules in a custom setting. Join an imaginary journey along the Nirilnesca River, where you are tasked with mapping new territory and making contact with an Indigenous nation while navigating the challenges of an unfamiliar landscape.

A brief overview of game expectations will be provided before play begins. Players will use level-one characters. Pre-made character sheets will be provided, though experienced players may bring their own characters built using official 2024 fifth edition materials and point-buy stats.
