The Drift Prairie Tour

Welcome to our North Dakota tourism event page. We're CaNDak and even though this name has only been in existence for 9 years we are the descendents of the legendary CANDISC Bicycle Tour which attracted riders from all over the country to come and experience North Dakota's beauty from the saddle, of a bicycle, in the shade of a tree or in the cool, maple smelling coffee shop on Main Street, ND. We accepted the baton when CANDISC retired and have carried it since and we're back to bring you another great adventure.

We bring an adventurous experience to all those who participate. Nobody is excluded, because this is not an endurance event, a race or some kind of "in the wild" primitive experience. It's a guided adventure to be savored and enjoyed as you take it in at your own pace. We bring you North Dakota hospitality, ethnic foods, small town vibe with a big dose of fresh, clean air and the natural beauty-scapes of the Northern Drift Prairie. All to be experienced behind the bars of your bicycle. 411 miles of low traffic roads, pristine wild lands traversing an area of North Dakota know as the Drift Prairie. Where rivers, pothole lakes and sloughs dot the landscape amongst rolling hills rising up to the Turtle Mountains and encircling the Lake Metigoshe area and eventually returning to Velva after passing through numerous small communities along the way.
