Valley City Parks and Recreation

Valley City Parks and Recreation offers many parks and playgrounds for all ages to enjoy! Take a splash in the community outdoor pool or let your dog run free at the dog park located in Chautauqua Park! Between all the parks, you can find a 9-hole disc golf course (City Park), sand volleyball courts (Chautauqua Park), musical performances (City Park and Pioneer Park), and so much more. Throughout the year, VCPR hosts many events and activities, including their July Celebration which includes a free swim day, safety in the park, kids golf, a fun run, and movies in the park! 

Rentals:

• Bike Rentals -  Bike rentals can be found outside the Gaukler Family Wellness Center at the bike kiosk. This is the perfect rental opportunity to help you see Valley City and get some exercise! 
• Kayak Rentals - There is a kayak rental trailer at Bjornson Golf Course with 8 total kayaks (2 double, 6 single). Rent a kayak  or two and head out on the beautiful Sheyenne River! Even kayak under the Hi-Line Bridge! 
  
• Dacotah Pavilion -  A year-round handicap-accessible facility great for holding reunions, receptions, and more with tables and chairs for 150 guests and a full kitchen!
