Welk Homestead State Historic Site near Strasburg is hosting a free family-friendly activity to promote learning and fun for adults and children. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Sunday, June 21, Lanette's Craft Room, 1-3 p.m. Spend the afternoon creating farm animal crafts.
The Welk Homestead State Historic Site illustrates the history of agriculture in the early 20th century, German Russian culture and architecture, and the career of bandleader Lawrence Welk, who grew up on the farm. While at the site, take a selfie with the new Lawrence Welk statue.

The Welk Homestead, located at 845 88th St. SE, Strasburg, is a state historic site managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota.
