Finnish Pioneer Monument

Located in Rolla City Park, the Finn Pioneer Monument honors the Finnish settlers who helped shape the history of the Rolla area. The monument was dedicated in 1956 by local Finnish settlers and the North Dakota Finnish Historical Society. Originally located at a rest area about nine miles east of Rolla on ND Highway 5, it was moved to the city park after the rest area closed in 2021. Today, it stands as a lasting tribute to Rolla’s Finnish heritage.
