Join The Study for a powerful documentary film screening and live conversation event in four North Dakota cities. Expedition: Greenland (2025) documents an extraordinary 21-day, 1,400-mile expedition across the uncharted long axis of Greenland’s ice sheet — a journey never before completed from south to north. Filmed with a single camera and drone and directed by Clay Croft, the documentary follows seven adventurers, including Minot Emergency Medicine and Expedition Doctor Jon Solberg, as they navigate one of the harshest environments on earth using specialized Arctic Trucks and remarkable teamwork.

The expedition pushed the limits of endurance and leadership: continuous driving shifts of up to 75 hours, only seven campsites across the entire crossing, and total reliance on collaboration and decision-making under extreme pressure. Part of the broader Expeditions 7 project — an effort to drive on all seven continents — the film captures both the raw beauty of Greenland’s untouched landscape and the deeply human story of resilience, trust, and purpose.

Following the screening, Dr. Jon Solberg will join us live for conversation and audience Q&A, reflecting on risk, teamwork, leadership, and what extreme environments reveal about the human spirit. Designed for medical professionals, students, outdoor enthusiasts, business leaders, and lifelong learners, this event blends adventure storytelling with meaningful humanities reflection on courage, responsibility, and perseverance.
