Brent Braniff: A Secret Life
The Northwest Arts Center and The Taube Museum of Art invites you to the public reception for the “Brent Braniff: A Secret Life” exhibition on Thursday, November 5. There will be a split reception. The reception at the Northwest Arts Center is from 6:30-8 p.m. The reception at the Taube is from 5-7 p.m.
Brent Braniff, who has worked in the Minot Area as a graphic designer, editor, director, and more over the past 50 years, will be displaying a selection of his drawings, painting, photographs, and music videos at the Taube Museum of Art and the Northwest Arts Center. His work draws inspiration from artists, musicians, and filmmakers and including David Lynch, Walter Piehl, Robert Schwieger, Brian Eno, David Bowie, and many more.
The receptions are free and open to the public. The Walter Piehl Gallery is located in the Northwest Arts Center on the lower level of the Gordon B. Olson Library, with its own entrance on the south side of the library. It is open TWThF, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 1-5 p.m. and by special arrangement. It is closed holidays.
The Taube Museum of Art is located in historic downtown Minot at 2 N Main St. Museum and Gift Shop hours are Tuesday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sat 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by special appointment.
