Ferris Inn

Specialty lodging by the Rough Riders Hotel

Nestled just off of downtown Medora, Ferris Inn is Medora’s most historic property. The general store celebrated its grand opening on August 4, 1885 – with living quarters upstairs for Joe and Lilly Ferris – who often hosted their friend Theodore Roosevelt on his visits to Medora.

Today, this historic property features four king rooms, each decorated in 1880’s finery and dedicated to key figures in Medora’s story: Teddy Roosevelt, Medora de Vallombrosa Marquise de Morès, the Northern Pacific Railroad, and the Dakota Badlands themselves.

Experience Medora’s hospitality – just like Teddy Roosevelt did – at Ferris Inn.

Reservations, check-in, and services for this property are managed by the Rough Riders Hotel.
