Lindaas Barn Dance
Get In Contact
Good, wholesome family fun. No alcoholic beverages allowed. Water and pop provided along with potluck treats/snacks. Free admission; Donations are accepted to help defray expenses. Music is primarily provided by our house band The New Hayshakers, plus we sometimes headline other small old-time bands.
Managed by the non-profit Friends of Lindaas Barn Dance, these events carry on a tradition that began in 1989, when Elroy Lindaas hosted musicians and dancers from across North Dakota in his family barn. Over the years, with community support, we’ve added a dance floor, modern restrooms, improved lighting, air conditioning, and a sound system. Today, our family-friendly dances (held June–September) draw people of all ages, fostering connection and celebrating local heritage.
