Constructed of locally available materials, the farm was "green" before it was trendy. The stone walls and earthen roof are currently being rebuilt and restored by members and volunteers of Preservation North Dakota. The site represents a rural vernacular architecture, as well as the rich German-Russian ethnic history of the region. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to participate in the restoration and preservation of this site.
