Little Missouri State Park Loop

This trail is recommended for those seeking a more, rugged, off-the-beaten path adventure and requires routefinding, sure-footedness on steep crumbling badlands, and bushwhacking in up to shoulder-high overgrowth. The loop strings together a variety of trails to show off the badlands, grasslands, and woods. Most of the route is easy to medium difficulty, but there's one laughably steep descent along a crumbling badlands ridgeline (think STEEP dropoffs). Hikers who brave the ridge are rewarded with a jaw-dropping panoramic view of the badlands. Like other hikes in the area, this is tick country, and appropriate precautions are recommended.
