Little Missouri State Park

Little Missouri State Park contains some of the most rugged, picturesque Badlands terrain in North Dakota. Most of the park is accessible only by horseback or hiking, with over 40 miles of trails. This quiet park is a perfect place to explore the North Dakota backcountry and experience what it truly means to unplug. Campers can enjoy both modern and primitive campsites. This park is equipped with horse amenities, including corrals and a round pen.

Numerous wildlife species frequent the park, including mule deer, coyote, fox, bobcat and golden eagle. Nearby attractions include Theodore Roosevelt National Park (North Unit), Lake Sakakawea, Killdeer Mountains, Little Missouri State Scenic River, and a scenic byway.

Little Missouri State Park is open seasonally.
