Renowned law professor and American legal historian Paul Finkelman will present free lectures in Bismarck, Jamestown, and Fargo July 19-21. His presentations will examine the enduring influence of the Declaration of Independence, the complexities of Native American law during the 19th century, and the surprising connections between baseball and the rule of law.
Finkelman is the author or editor of more than 50 books on American legal and constitutional history, slavery, American history and baseball. His engaging presentations draw on decades of academic research and expertise to connect historical events with issues that continue to shape the nation today.
