This special event commemorates the 50th anniversary of an extraordinary world record: the absolute speed record of 2,193.167 mph, set on July 28th, 1976, during the United States bicentennial. The record was achieved by Major General Eldon W. Joersz (Ret), along side reconnaissance systems officer George Morgan, whose remarkable piloting skills pushed the boundaries of human flight.
