Greater Grand Forks Greenway

This is an extensive system of biking/walking trails along the Red River of the North. It offers some beautiful views of the river, dike system, downtown of either city, and the Flood Memorial. Numerous biking trails follow along the river on either side to connect with several area parks that include areas to sled, ice skate, swim (not in the river), and golf. Camping is also available on the Minnesota side. Accessibility: There are 2 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of Demers Avenue at the west end of the trail. Both of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved concrete or asphalt and smooth. It is typically at least 6 feet wide. The whole trail is estimated to be in the mostly gentle (5% or less) grade category. This trail will likely be navigable for most wheelchairs/mobility equipment or stroller users
