The trail begins just north of the Western Engineer Cabin at the parking area next to the concession store and leads past the paddlesport launch before entering the park's northern section via the Flicker Loop. Nestled within ponderosa pine woodlands, the trail provides stunning views of the marina, the lake, and Garrison Bay.
