The public is invited to “Snake Exploration and Community Day” Sunday, July 18, 1-4:30 p.m. at Fort Totten State Historic Site. Snake handlers Russell Keys and Jennifer Weber will present a variety of snakes that can be kept as pets.

Visitors will also enjoy crafts, yard games, and an ice cream social. Activities are free, and all ages are welcome.

This event is part of the ND250 commemoration celebrating our country’s 250th birthday.

Fort Totten State Historic Site, 417 Cavalry Circle in Fort Totten, is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Summer hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily through Sept. 7.
