St. Patrick’s Parade Postponed to March 22 Due to Weather
Fargo-Moorhead, ND – Due to the potentially dangerous weather expected heading into Saturday, the St. Patrick’s Parade will be postponed from March 15, 2025, to March 22, 2025.
"We know everyone is anxious to shake off the long winter with this annual spring tradition, but safety comes first, and we appreciate the community’s understanding as we adjust plans," said Rocky Schneider, Executive Director of the Downtown Community Partnership. "Thank you to our incredible volunteers, city partners, and businesses for their flexibility—we couldn’t put on this celebration without you!"
New Parade Date & Route Update
New Parade Date:
Saturday, March 22, 2025
Parade Route Change: The parade will still start in Moorhead on Center
Ave, crossing into Downtown Fargo on NP Ave and heading north on Broadway.
However, instead of continuing to 4th Ave, the parade will now turn east on 2nd
Ave, finishing at 5th St. just past Broadway Square. This modified route will highlight Broadway Square as a
prime viewing location for the parade and supports those attending the Fargo
Film Festival, which will be happening at the Fargo Theatre on the same day.
We appreciate the community’s patience, enthusiasm, and commitment to celebrating with us. We can’t wait to see you all decked out in green next Saturday, March 22 for a sunnier and drier St. Patrick’s Parade!
2025 marks the 28th annual St. Patrick’s Parade, often called the “kick-off to spring” by long-time Fargo-Moorhead residents. Drawing thousands of spectators from across the community, this lively celebration of Irish heritage and the season’s arrival will feature dazzling floats, marching units, equestrian entries, and more. Don’t miss this joyful tradition!
