Love, money, and a perfectly planned scheme collide in Donizetti’s sparkling comedy Don Pasquale. When a wealthy older bachelor decides to marry and cut his nephew Ernesto out of his inheritance, Ernesto’s beloved Norina and their clever friend Dr. Malatesta devise an elaborate plan to change his mind. Disguises, misunderstandings, and comic chaos follow, all set to Donizetti’s dazzling and playful score. Presented in the intimate atmosphere of the historic Fargo Theatre, Don Pasquale also marks the return of Fargo-Moorhead Opera’s Emerging Artist Program, showcasing an exciting new generation of operatic talent.
