Alabama native and stand-up comedian Derrick Stroup brings high-energy storytelling with the cadence of an “angry auctioneer,” delivering vivid, fast-paced tales rooted in his Southern upbringing. A Waffle House enthusiast with a growing national presence, Stroup recently filmed his first Netflix comedy special, Nostalgic, which premiered globally on March 10. He’s also a regular at New York City’s Comedy Cellar and performs at clubs across the country.

Stroup made his Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon debut in 2023 and returned in 2025. His latest special explores life as a ’90s kid in rural Alabama, blending humor about friendships, family, and growing up. He continues to tour with major comedians like Bert Kreischer and Nate Bargatze, will appear in the upcoming film The Breadwinner, and launches his first headlining theater tour, Running Hot, this fall.
