The Coleman Museum is the former Farmers National Bank building purchased by a dentist who turned it into his office and home in 1928. He continued his practice until his death in 1968, and his widow lived in the building until 1984. The building houses photographs and artifacts from the town's history from 1882 to the present revealing the fires, tornadoes, blizzards, agricultural advances, schools, college, military, businesses of the past and railroads. The 125th anniversary history book is available.

Ellendale is located in south central North Dakota 40 miles north of Aberdeen, South Dakota, on Highway 281.
