Red River Roots is a new bluegrass and folk festival rooted in the heart of the Red River Valley, bringing together regional talent, community spirit, and a shared love for acoustic music. Set against the scenic backdrop of Crooked Lane Farm on September 12, 2026, the festival celebrates both tradition and connection; honoring the sounds that have shaped the region while creating space for something new to grow.
This year’s lineup features standout performances from Monroe Crossing, Kohlrabi Soup Bluegrass Band, and the JT Kennelly Band, offering a rich mix of high-energy bluegrass and thoughtful folk. At the center of it all is a highly anticipated reunion performance from Friends and Neighbors band; a special moment that captures the heart of what Red River Roots is all about; community, history, and the joy of making music together again.
Beyond the stage, the festival will host a variety of food, art, and drink vendors, creating a full-day experience that highlights the creativity and craftsmanship of the region. Entirely volunteer-led and newly established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Red River Roots is driven by a mission to cultivate local arts, foster community, and build a sustainable home for roots music in the Valley.
Whether you’re a lifelong bluegrass fan or just discovering the genre, Red River Roots invites you to gather, listen, and be part of something meaningful.
