Square Butte Creek Golf Course
The Square Butte Golf Course is a public, hilly 9 hole course and has water hazards coming into play on two holes. Some greens are large, and all of them are slightly sloped. Hole #1, a 150-yard, par 3, offers a scenic view and requires a downhill tee shot from the clubhouse. This course was built in 1982 and originally had sand greens, but recently changed over to grass greens. The course features 6296 yards from the Men's tees with a rating of 68.4 and a par of 72 and has bent grass.
Our course offers a unique opening hole to your round. You tee off in front of the clubhouse probably with no more than a pitching wedge to a 145 yard, par 3 which lies about 100 feet below the tee box. The green lies next to Square Butte Creek, but the water isn't in play unless you really over-club on your tee shot. The course, which plays to a par 72 for 18 holes, offers other changes in elevation, as you might expect from the opening shot, as well as some blind shots to pesky greens. You should also be prepared to play your best wind-control game.
There is no dress code and metal spikes are not allowed. Gas carts are available to rent and walking the course is permitted. Clubs are available for rent.
A full service bar and café/snack bar are located on premises.
