Pioneer village museum boasts several preserved and restored buildings, all of which house artifacts and items of historical importance.
The V & R Toy Museum was created by Vernon and Rose Eymann. Vern had a lifelong love for building and collecting farm machinery toys. According to Rose Eyemann, he started collecting in 1984 and building in 1986. By 1999, Vern had enough toys, trophies, hats, and buckles to create a museum. Before Vern Eyemann passed away in 2014, he had more than 2,000 items in his museum collection. Rose took care of the museum for a while but in 2017 she donated it all to the Pioneer Village. Thanks to the generosity of Bob and Kathy Mau, the V & R Toy Museum has a safe and new place to be displayed. The Maus owned a house and lot right next to the Pioneer Village. The house is located right behind the Hartland Church and white school house. They were benevolent enough to donate both the house and the lot to the village. The house has been redone to showcase wall to wall shelving for the toys. Also, with the addition of the house, the Pioneer Village now has three bathrooms.
