White Butte Trail: North Dakota Highpoint

White Butte is considered the North Dakota High Point. It is on private property but open to the public with a suggested donation at the trailhead. To park, you'll look for a large green highway sign off of Highway 85 indicating "White Butte—Highest Point in North Dakota". There is a parking area at the trailhead. At the trailhead, you can leave a donation in the secure and clearly marked red receptacle, and be sure to secure the gate.
