Capture the magic of dragonflies in watercolor. Artist Kimberly Eslinger will show you how to work with the “flow” to build the depth and transparency needed to make enchanting paintings. During this 2-hour workshop, we will cover:
- Choosing watercolor paper
- Building depth in layers
- Using Gouache and ink
- Adding and lifting pigment
- Bushes (can you really have too many?)
- Choosing watercolors
- General artist tips that make life easier (I am only referring to watercolor) You are welcome to bring the following supplies to class:
- Cold-pressed 140lb paper
- No 8 and a 4 or 2 round + a rigger
- Fine point ink marker pen (Optional)
- Any watercolors that you have access to
- Watercolor pallet
- Any stiff, waterproof board for taping your work down.
If you don’t have these supplies, don’t worry, Kim will bring extra; just let BAGA know.
