Luminary Walk and Pumpkin Carving Contest

Join us for the Luminary Walk and Pumpkin Carving Contest at General Sibley Park & Campground, located at 5001 S. Washington St. This free, all-ages event is dog-friendly and invites attendees to enjoy a lighted evening stroll while showcasing their pumpkin carving talents. Participants can drop off their carved pumpkins at picnic shelter #1 from 2:00-5:00 PM and complete an entry form for each pumpkin. From 7:00-8:45 PM, attendees will vote for their favorite pumpkins, with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Winning pumpkins will also be highlighted on Bismarck Parks and Recreation District's social media. Don't forget to bring your flashlights, and enjoy hot cider and treats provided at the event. Voting will conclude at 8:45 PM, after which participants can collect their pumpkins if they wish to take them home. Winners will be announced on Sunday, Oct. 4, and prizes can be picked up at the park office from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM until October 11.
