Enjoy free interactive learning programs for all ages at Camp Hancock State Historic Site in Bismarck. Day cares and summer camps are encouraged to attend. Groups are asked to contact the site supervisor in advance of their planned visit to ensure the best possible experience. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Cookies and lemonade will be served.
July 15, Yarn Dolls, 1-3 p.m. Assemble a classic pioneer toy.
July 22, Geographical Survey Markers, 1-3 p.m. See the survey marker at Camp Hancock and construct your own.
July 29, Pipe Cleaner Snakes, 1-3 p.m. Learn about common snakes of North Dakota and create your own pet snake.
Aug. 5, Morse Code Bracelets, 1-3 p.m. Discover how messages were transmitted in the 1870s at Camp Hancock and design your own Morse code bracelet.
Aug. 12, Spin Drums, 1-3 p.m. Build a small toy drum that you spin to hear a beat.

Main Ave. in Bismarck, is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. The site grounds with outdoor interpretive signs are open year-round. Buildings are open by appointment.
