Enjoy free interactive learning programs at Camp Hancock State Historic Site in Bismarck. All ages are welcome. Day cares and summer camps are encouraged to attend. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Cookies and lemonade will be served.
July 2, Bouncing Bubbles, 1-3 p.m. Did you know you can make bubbles bounce? Have fun mixing up a solution to create your own bouncing bubbles.
July 9, Balloon Trains, 1-3 p.m. Camp Hancock has its own 1909 Northern Pacific Locomotive on exhibit. Take a look at the train, then engineer your own balloon trains.
July 16, Solar Ovens, 1-3 p.m. Did you know you can use the sun to cook? Harness the sun’s energy to make a sweet treat.
July 23, Sunprints, 1-3 p.m. Create beautiful pieces of art using the sun and items found in your natural surroundings.
July 30, Constellations, 1-3 p.m. The night sky is a great wonder! See how stars form patterns called constellations, then make your own constellation viewer to take home.
Aug. 6, Mosaics, 1-3 p.m. Downtown Bismarck features beautiful outdoor art. Get inspired, then design your own mosaics using air dry clay.

Main Ave. in Bismarck, is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. The site grounds with outdoor interpretive signs are open year-round. Buildings are open by appointment.
