Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to the free interactive learning series "Little Kids, Big World" at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. These interactive 30-minute programs introduce children to North Dakota’s fascinating history. Children and their accompanying adult(s) are asked to meet at the west entrance information desk.
December 6 and 10, 10 a.m. Little Kids, Big World: Cookies. What is that delicious aroma? It’s Christmas cookies! Join us as we learn the history of Christmas cookies and decorate your own cardboard cookies.
December 13 and 17, 10 a.m. Cardinals. While many birds migrate to stay warm during winter, cardinals shelter in place. Discover how cardinals stay warm in the winter and make a paper strip cardinal.
December 20 and 24, 10 a.m. Winter Solstice. One of the ways people celebrate the winter solstice is by burning a Yule log. Explore the history of winter solstice celebrations and create your own Yule log.
December 27 and 31, 10 a.m. Snowflakes. Brr, it is cold outside! While the snow falls, come in where it is warm and create your own beaded snowflake.
