The North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum, Bismarck, will host “In Concert Together: Merrill Piepkorn & The Radio Stars and Jessie Veeder” on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2-4 p.m. in the Russell Reid Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
Watford City native Jessie Veeder will share original songs inspired by the Badlands, ranch life, and rural communities of western North Dakota. Known for her honest storytelling and roots-driven sound, Veeder is an award-winning songwriter whose work reflects the lives and landscapes of the northern Plains.
Merrill Piepkorn & The Radio Stars offer an energetic mix of modern and traditional Western-style music. Featuring harmonica, fiddle, guitars, and rich vocal harmonies, the band is known for lively performances that blend classic country, folk, and dance tunes.
This event is part of the ND250 commemoration of the United States’ 250th birthday and the regional Vinterfest, a month-long celebration of winter on the northern Plains featuring educational programs, outdoor recreation, and cultural traditions.
