This Double Pony Truss Bridge was restored because of its rarity and an interpretive sign on the site offers a glimpse of early life in LaMoure County.

Located 5 miles north of Grand Rapids, nestled in the James River Valley, you will find the LaMoure County Memorial Park. In addition, you can enjoy the county museum, camping and picnic facilities, playground area, tennis courts, and ball diamonds. (Open May 15 – September 15)

This stately landmark dominates the beautiful view of the valley with an impressive domed roof that is eye pleasing from any direction. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the story of how the courthouse came to be is as rich and interesting as any.

Built in 1914 and used on the James River for some time, this paddleboat was restored in 1971 and now rests near the James River along with a deactivated Minuteman missile similar to those in silos on the Northern Plains during the Cold War.
