Upper Talkington Trail

This great trail takes you through prairie and badlands. Abundant wildlife can often be seen on the trail, including bison, wild horses, prairie dogs, coyotes, and pronghorn. The trail is very exposed, so avoid the heat of the day in summer. While the trail is well-marked with posts, there is a short section going through a prairie dog town where the trail is not clear. It is a good idea to download your offline map ahead of time.
