This is a popular trail for hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are June through September. This trail starts at the Painted Canyon Visitor Center of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The visitor center is open seasonally from May through October, but the hike can be done year round.
