Pheasant Run Lodge
Pheasant Run Lodge is located on the Bloom Farmstead in Alkabo, ND. The lodge can accommodate up to 10 guests total, is pet friendly, and includes an electricity hook up for RV. The lodge is a fully furnished house on rural water and offers an excellent place to stay in rural Northwest North Dakota.
Pheasant Run Lodge is managed by Darren and Kris Schmidt who reside at the Bloom Family Farm. The farm is owned by Kris's parents, Roger and Diana. This farm at one time encompassed over 2500 acres operated by the family. Farm activities included raising crops, cattle, and a 1000+ swine operation. This is an original homestead farm established by Kris's great grandfather L.O. (Lars Olal, Louie) Bloom in 1916. The area has a rich history of those who settled during the Homestead Act of 1862. Alkabo, ND is a few miles to the North of the farm where Roger was raised by his parents, Sam and Thora. The family lived in a house there and operated a store before moving to the farm.

Pheasant Run Lodge is a renovated house that was once used to house workers assisting with the farming operation. Later, the house was visited by guests interested in hunting in the area. Darren and Kris now welcome you to come and enjoy this unique rural setting in Northwest North Dakota.
