We have made the decision to cancel the 2020 North Dakota Travel Industry Conference scheduled for April 6-8 in Grand Forks. With all the work put into the conference by the committee and host community, we regret that we have to cancel, but your health and safety is our top concern. We also understand your need to focus on the work you are all doing in your communities as we all deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. The travel industry is among those that has sustained significant impact and we know there will be difficult work ahead.
We will keep the Governor’s Awards nominations open until Friday, March 20, after which we will select our winners. This will allow us an opportunity to acknowledge some hard-working industry members at a time when our industry will need some good news. Our intentions would be to have the winners attend the 2021 conference to be publicly recognized.
The Tourism Division is working on providing information on the industry section of NDtourism.com and will also be coordinating weekly virtual meetings to keep partners aware and engaged as together we work through this unprecedented crisis. Watch for details coming soon.
Thanks for understanding and for all you do to invite and host visitors to North Dakota.
