The journey back in time begins as one enters the stone gates of Nelson County's Stump Lake Park. It is hard to miss Stump Lake Village as you enter the park. Many of the buildings at the village have been relocated from the Nelson County area and include two log cabins, church, school, railroad depot, house, barn, Quanbeck Shop, flour mill, blacksmith shop and township hall. In addition, there is a large machinery building, modern restrooms, paved walking paths and gazebo. An ongoing project is the "Old Main Street USA Building" which houses many beautiful exhibits as well as a stage, veterans room, library, gift shop, restrooms and kitchen.

Visitors enjoy a walk down memory lane when they enter this building.
