What started as a two-day winter celebration will now be sprawled out over six weeks, January 15-February 22, 2020, allowing more events and better yet, the ability to make it to ALL OF THEM!

Jan 15-24 West Fargo Winter Days - Join in the excitement of a West Fargo winter tradition! Winter Days features various events for the community, including the Silver Snowflake Search, Coloring Contest, Crossword Puzzle, Senior Luncheon and more!

Jan 18 Winter Boot Camp - Join us for an evening full of winter adventure! Activities kick off with a sled parade starts at 4:30 p.m. and then open skate on the new rink while enjoying musical entertainment. The cocoa cook-off will be happening throughout the night and Triple Ax will be set up so you can try your hand at some ax throwing or play one of the other games like Hammerschlagen. 

Jan 18-19 Indoor Volleyball Tournament –Take a break from the cold and warm up with some volleyball! Pre-registered teams will compete to take the title of Winter Days champions. 

Jan 18 Cardboard Sled Races – Create a sled from cardboard and race down the hill. Registration on-site for this free event.

Jan 20 S'mores & More – the place to be to enjoy all the great things about winter in Fargo! The fun moves to a different warming house at a different neighborhood rink each week.

Jan 24 Frozen Business Showdown –Teams battle for points in all new winter activities with a twist. Bragging rights are on the line- does your organization have what it takes?

Jan 25 Winter Birding Festival – Enjoy winter birding at its finest, Festival is free for birders of all skill levels. A limited number of binoculars provided

Jan 25 Uniquely Fargo: Winter Warriors – Grab your squad to face off for the title of Ultimate Winter Warrior. Teams compete against one another in epic battles of one-of-a-kind winter activities. Sweep your teammates to victory with Human Curling, test your arm with Yukigassen (our take on the crazy Japanese snowball fighting competition), show off your snowy speed with the Sasquatch Challenge, and boost your strength in the Icy Tug-of-Winter.

Jan 27 S'mores & More –The place to be to enjoy all the great things about winter in Fargo! The fun moves to a different warming house at a different neighborhood rink each week.

Jan 31 Frostival Winter Mixer at Harold's- A mix of different events for friends and family such as s'mores and bonfires, craft projects for the kids, outdoor games, ice bar with booze luge, music, food by Usher's House, and Triple Ax. Hop inside for karaoke and a cozy place to warm up.

Feb 1 Frozen Prairie Youth Pond Hockey Day-Grab your friends and come enjoy a day of hockey played where it all started…on the ponds! Each team has a 3 game guarantee in this jamboree structured day. All games are two 10 min halves. Divisions are 10U, 8U, 6U (All divisions coed). Teams can have a max of 6 players. $60 per team, this includes a beanie for each player. All games are playing as 4 on 4.

Feb 1 Frozen Fortress –Embrace the cool of winter with a day of outdoor activities and events, featuring: The Moorhead Business Association's Snow Sculpture Contest, Free Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoe Rentals, indoor and outdoor games, a hot chocolate station, a marshmallow roast, and much more frosty fun!

Feb 1 River Keepers Interpretive Snowshoe Hike along the Red River- Explore the banks of the Red River in downtown Moorhead on snowshoes. Bring snowshoes if you have them, otherwise, Moorhead Parks and Recreation will provide them for free. Cold weather clothing is a must

Feb 1 MBA Snow Sculpture Competition – All skill levels welcome! Create something beautiful from cubes of snow. The winner will be announced February 8.

Feb 1 Snowga – Discover peace and tranquility by combining fresh powder and yoga! Join local yoga instructor Tracy as she leads snowga, a fun accessible practice for all ages and levels of yoga students. Please wear proper snow attire, no bare feet in this yoga class! 

Feb 1 Cold Dance Attack- Join Dance Choreographer, Cleveland Smith for this 45-minute power-packed fitness dance party! 

Feb 1 Snowball Dance & Carnival-Enjoy a night out with the family dancing and playing carnival games

Feb 2 Winter Wonderland Open Skate- Join us at the Cullen Hockey Center for open skate for all ages. Free skate rentals for 4 to 10 year olds while supplies last thanks to Scott Tobolt Foundation. Nothing better than lunch from Jay's Smokin BBQ.

Feb 2 Winter Wonderland Dog Pack Walk-  Join the winter pack… dog pack that is! Nature of the North and Hotdog! Pet Salon are teaming up to host a pack walk along the Red River.  Participants meet at Hotdog! Pet Salon/Nature of the North prior to the winter pack walk and return for refreshments with their 4-legged friends.

Feb 8 Winter Kickball Tournament – Enjoy the cold, be active. Kickball will return to the Frostival calendar and will allow teams to embrace the cold and compete! This is a round robin style tournament and teams are guaranteed 3 games. 

Feb 8 Ice Bowl Adult Disc Golf –  No wimps, no whiners. This is a disc golf tournament that takes place in the dead of winter to help bring awareness to hunger in America.

Feb 8 Winter Gear Swap –  Do you have functional gear laying around your house, shoved up in your attic, or hidden somewhere in your garage that you aren't using? LET US HELP! Nature of the North, the Moorhead American Legion Post 21, and Frostival 2020 are teaming up to give the FM community an opportunity to buy, sell, and trade used gear/equipment!

Feb 8 Undie Run – Brave the cold, drop your pants, and run around in just your knickers! Pre-register for only $15 or $20 day of the event and receive a pair of Frostival undies and a pom hat in return for your bravery.

Feb 8 Beard Competition –Bearding is the sport of growing, grooming and presenting one's facial hair. So bring your family or friends;  the bushiest, the most stylish and the weirdest,  to showcase those chops, bristles, and whiskers and become the upper Midwest's facial hair connoisseur.

Feb 15 Coffee & Cocoa Crawl –Caffeine & Chocolate, what's no to love?! Bundle up the kids and grab your friends for a day of sipping and shopping! Admission is just $15 and includes a mug and samples of coffee and cocoa at 20 different locations in Downtown Fargo.

Feb 21 Cold Cinema: A Winter Movie Night – Embrace winter by enjoying an outdoor movie in the cold! Get your friends, bring a blanket, grab some popcorn, and settle in to watch a favorite winter film. 

Feb 22 Ice Fishing Derby –Bring your ice fishing rod and try your luck at the annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby!

Feb 22 Winter Trails Day –Learn how to snowshoe, skishoe, and/or XC ski for free at MB Johsnon Park. 

Feb 22 Outdoor Winter Volleyball –Compete in an outdoor, winter volleyball tournament.
