This horse-themed painting program for adults begins with a brief guided tour by master artist Kim Eslinger through The Horse in North Dakota exhibit to gain inspiration from the horse-related images and graphics.

Registration is $20 (painthorses.eventbrite.com) and includes all supplies and horse-inspired cookies. Each participant can choose between two blank canvases or canvases with horse outlines provided by Eslinger. A cash bar will be available.

Eslinger has provided programming for adults and youth in the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum related to other exhibits. The art assistant is a student who recently won first place in the high school category of Bismarck's annual Earth Day Festival Recycled Art Contest. Music will be furnished by local musician Kris Kitko, who developed set lists specifically related to horses for previous programs.

* Participants must be 21+

* Fees are non-refundable

This project is supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
