Calling all "foodies," chefs, home cooks and everyone who loves to garden or eat good food.
gardendwellers FARM is North Dakota's only culinary herb farm. Serving restaurants, grocery stores, breweries, bakeries, and markets since 2002, this unique farm grows over 15 varieties of culinary herbs.
Ever wonder what hundreds of feet of Basil rows look or smell like? Come and visit. We'd love to show you how our product goes from field to plate. Tours include instruction on growing, using, cooking with, and preserving herbs. If you call ahead to make arrangements, instructional classes are available for groups.
Classes and tours can include herb cooking lessons, growing and preserving herb instruction, herb teas, and even herb crafts like making herbal wreaths, bath salts or seasoning mixes. The farm also has an essential oil still and freeze dryer that may be in use at the time of your visit. See how essential oils or freeze dried blends are made.
Surrounded by conventional large scale agriculture, this little herb farm has a fabulous setting with wide open views of the countryside and the great big sky above. All herbs are grown sustainably with no chemicals and can be tasted right in the field.
Call before your visit to schedule a Basil Bath! Take advantage of the North Dakota weather and vast scenery to relax in a tub of basil to ease your tensions, soothe your muscles and relax.
The farm is family friendly. Children and adults of all ages will find something of interest. With advance notice, family craft activities can be arranged. For the most part, the grounds are fairly accessible to people of all abilities with a handicap accessible restroom facility. Modifications can be made to a tour to accommodate people with limitations.
