North Dakota’s tourism opportunities promoted at bus tour marketplace

Bismarck, N.D. - Deanne Cunningham with North Dakota Tourism was among 3,500 delegates at the 36th annual American Bus Association (ABA) Conference. Joining Cunningham at this key industry event was: Searle Swedlund, Buffalo City Tourism, Jamestown; Dana Todd, Choice Hotels International; Adrienne White, Fargo-Moorhead CVB; Joslyn Reichert and Chantel Miller, Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation; and  Amy Krueger, Williston CVB.

These representatives met with tour operators from North America and Canada, enticing them to route their groups through North Dakota. In addition, they networked with business leaders and attended educational seminars detailing trends in the touring industry.

As one of North Dakota’s leading industries, tourism attracts visitors to the state’s 646 attractions, 357 events and festivals, and more than 850 lodging options. In addition, more than 33,000 jobs in North Dakota are attributed to this robust industry.
