12882 105th St. NE, Walhalla, ND

Between 1843 and 1873, this house and store, owned by Antoine B. Gingras, served the Metis community of St. Joseph (present-day Walhalla). The buildings are the oldest still standing that were built in North Dakota by Euro-Americans.  A museuem store is on site with a large inventory of books and some replicas of things that would have been traded during the time of the post.
