Fargo-West Fargo Area
FARGO THEATRE The Fargo Theatre is a vintage movie palace built in 1926 to showcase major silent films and vaudeville acts. Fully-restored art deco theater that seats 870, programming first-run independent films nightly with occasional live stage events. PLAINS ART MUSEUM The largest art museum between Minneapolis and Seattle offers three galleries for your enjoyment. The museum galleries feature regional artists, a permanent collection and special exhibits. www.plainsart.org
HERITAGE-HJEMKOMST CENTER Exhibits and programs interpret the heritage of the Red River Valley. Attractions include Hjemkomst Viking Ship, Stave Church and floor map that allows visitors to "walk" region's early history. (Moorhead, MN). www.hjemkomst-center.com

Icelandic State Park/Pioneer Heritage Center Lake Renwick entices visitors to go boating, swimming and fishing. RENDEZVOUS REGION SCENIC BACKWAY Winding along the bends of the Pembina River you can enjoy the panorama of the Pembina gorge and enjoy the recreational, historical and natural scenery opportunities of the area.
PEMBINA GORGE The Pembina Gorge extends from the Canadian border to just northwest of Walhalla, encompassing most of the largest uninterrupted block of woodlands in North Dakota, approximately 12,500 acres and the longest segment of unaltered river valley in the state.
TETRAULT WOODS STATE FOREST This 431-acre state forest is located in the beautiful Pembina Gorge. The gorge, a forested valley following the path of the meandering Pembina River, is one of North Dakota's most scenic river valleys. It is also home to elk and more than 75 species of breeding birds. Turtle Mountain Scenic Byway Fifty-three mile byway, traveling through the Turtle Mountains, visitors can enjoy beautiful lakes surrounded by pine and aspen, wild flowers and wildlife, and a wide variety of outdoor activities.
Bottineau Area

Lake Metigoshe State Park Nestled in the scenic Turtle Mountains on the shores of Lake Metigoshe, the state park is one of the most popular year-round vacation spots in North Dakota. RALPH & BETTY ENGELSTAD ARENA The only Division I hockey team in the state, the University of North Dakota boasts a new $100 million arena.
