History has eastern North Dakota as the “gateway” to the American west. The east holds the first United State military fort, the rise of the American Bonanza farms, railroads that carried the abundant wheat and grains across the nation from the rich farm land encompassing the Red River which flows north. DAY 1
Wahpeton Area
BAGG BONANZA FARM

PRAIRIE ROSE CAROUSEL

CHAHINKAPA ZOO

FORT ABERCROMBIE STATE HISTORIC SITE
- Reconstructed fort and museum representing the first permanent United States military fort established in what was to become North Dakota. FARGO THEATRE

HERITAGE-HJEMKOMST CENTER

WEST ACRES SHOPPING CENTER

FARGO AIR MUSEUM

PEMBINA STATE MUSEUM
