Since 1969 Fort Seward, Inc. holds an annual family oriented covered wagon train adventure. We welcome families and individuals from all walks of life. One of North Dakota's best kept secrets" Starting in Jamestown, this wagon train is an authentic pioneer lifestyle experience one week out of each year.

People from all over the United States and foreign countries have participated in the Fort Seward Wagon Train throughout the years. Both families and individuals are encouraged to take part in this oppurtunity to travel North Dakota's prairies by covered wagons. Fort Seward, Inc. does require those under 19 years of age be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Trail riders can walk, ride in the wagons, bring a horse to ride along the trail!  In the evening it will be required that men, women, and children attire themselves in "proper peroid clothing."

Trail riders will be put on a KP chart to take part in camp activities involving digging of fires, meal preps. and the cooking over the open fires. There are arts and crafts & history talks through out the day. Trail riders can take part in singing, skits, and sharing stories around the evening campfire which signal the end of each day.

This adventure takes place in late June each year. Check for the date and when registrations open. Contact their Rristrar for more information on this historicallu authentic wagon train adventure!

Happy trails to you and hope to see out on the Trail in 2018  "when the wagons roll!"
