Located through the gates of the Frontier Village, the World's Largest Buffalo Monument stands tall on the hill in Jamestown, ND. This 26-foot-tall, 60-ton concrete giant has been standing watch over Jamestown since 1959. Created by sculptor Elmer Petersen, he has proven one of the midwest's most popular roadside attractions for over 50 years  In 2010, the World's Largest Buffalo received his name, Dakota Thunder. National Buffalo Museum and live herd of Buffalo are also on site.Click here to see images of the World's Largest Buffalo.

General Information
  • Hours of Operation: Gates are open 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Weather permitting, the village gates remain open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. from Labor Day to Memorial Day.
